Recent News:Federal Signal deploys SmartMsg Notification Messaging for Hamilton County and surrounding Counties

University Park, IL., January, 2010—Federal Signal and announced the deployment of the Hamilton County, OH emergency notification system today. The Emergency Alert Notification System allows local officials to telephone, email, text, or page; geographically targeted notifications to businesses and residents within Hamilton County in the event of an emergency situation that requires immediate action.

The system, when fully deployed will provide notification capabilities for 8 counties in three states making this the largest regional deployment of any such system in the United States.

"I think this will literally save lives," David Pepper, Hamilton County Commissioner told reporters.

“We are going to be able to communicate directly with citizens in emergency situations in a much more coordinated and strategic manner,” Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory said. “The new system is a great example of using innovative technology to keep our community safe.”
